SplitSmart is designed so that we hold as little of your information as possible. This policy explains what little we do process, and your rights.

Your documents never leave your device

All PDF processing, including splitting, merging, redaction, highlighting and page deletion, happens locally in your web browser. Your documents are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no server that receives them, and we cannot see them. Work saved with the Save Project feature is stored as a file on your own device.

No account, no personal data

SplitSmart does not require an account, and there is no account system to sign in to. We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address or any other personal detail. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Retention

We do not hold any account or personal data about you, so there is nothing of yours for us to keep or delete. We keep no copies of your documents at any time.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold personal data about you, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, you have the rights under UK GDPR to access, correct, delete and port it, and to object to or restrict processing.
